The CardioMEMS HF System is the first and only FDA-approved heart failure (HF) monitor proven to significantly reduce HF hospital admissions and improve quality of life in NYHA class III patients.
– The CardioMEMS HF System provides direct pulmonary artery (PA) pressure
monitoring using the sensor, patient electronics system and the CardioMEMS HF
System website to manage patient data.
– The patient electronics system, which consists of an electronic unit and detachable
flexible antenna, enables the patient to record and transmit sensor measurements to
the CardioMEMS HF System website for clinician review. The system:
– powers the sensor with radiofrequency (RF) energy;
-ÃÂÃÂ receives and converts information from the sensor into pressure waveforms, PA
pressure values and heart rate measurements; and
– is portable, easy to set up and straightforward to use, facilitating patient
compliance to taking PA pressure readings, even during travel.
